The Wallace Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Hitchcock County Falcons on Friday. Wallace has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 11.
On Tuesday, Wallace ended up a good deal behind Southwest and lost 52-33.
Wallace's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Conner Kennicutt, who scored 11 points, and Masen Messersmith who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kennicutt has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Max Hanson, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Hitchcock County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Chase County, falling 62-27. Hitchcock County has not had much luck with Chase County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Wallace has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Hitchcock County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
Wallace was taken down by Hitchcock County 77-40 when the teams last played back in January. Can Wallace avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
