Kristen Soots made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Shelbyville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Indian Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Shelbyville took their victory against Indian Creek when the teams last played back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Do the Golden Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
