Softball Recap: Washington Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wyandotte

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 39-34 to the Wyandotte Bulldogs. On the bright side, the 34- run effort marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring game to date.

Abigail Pena made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in six of her eight plate appearances with five runs, two doubles, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Her, who went 4-for-7 with five runs and two RBI.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Wyandotte, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Washington has already played their next match, a 19-0 defeat against Turner on the 9th. Wyandotte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
