Soddy Daisy took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against East Hamilton by a score of 5-1. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now won five in a row.
Izzy Webb made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skylar Gooden, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Soddy Daisy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Boyd-Buchanan sidestepped Hixson for a 2-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.

However, it's not like Boyd-Buchanan struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
