On Thursday, the St. Joseph Christian Lions were out to avenge their 53-34 defeat to the East Buchanan Bulldogs from their previous meeting last February, but they had no such luck. St. Joseph was completely outmatched by East Buchanan on the road and fell 58-14. That's the fewest points the Lions have scored all season.
St. Joseph's loss pushed them down to 8-15. The victory was the 12th in a row for East Buchanan and raised their record to 22-3.
St. Joseph will take on East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] on Monday. As for East Buchanan, East Buchanan and West Platte will go head to head on Monday in their first playoff matchup of the year.
