Canby has gone a perfect 7-0 against La Salle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cougars will face off against the Falcons. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Canby 2.4, La Salle 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Canby is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let North Eugene get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering the Cougars have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, La Salle had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Foxes.

Max Bishop spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, La Salle let Evan Hamlin and Torsten Hersom run wild. Hamlin went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Hersom went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Those three hits gave Hersom a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Roscoe Mithoefer, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Canby is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for La Salle, their win bumped their record up to 20-8.

Everything went Canby's way against La Salle in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Canby made off with a 9-0 victory. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
