Santa Fe's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ryland Chambless, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds, and Kenny Torres who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds. Torres scored a full 30% of Santa Fe's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Weslaco East has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Santa Fe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Weslaco East will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Donna at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Santa Fe, they will head out on the road to face off against Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
