Flint Southwestern Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 655th, while Frankenmuth is ranked 168th).
Flint Southwestern Academy suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 last Saturday. They were dealt a 60-30 defeat at the hands of Southeastern.
In what's become a running theme this season, Frankenmuth gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Birch Run with a sharp 49-29 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Frankenmuth has posted against Birch Run since March 9, 2021.
It was another big night for Carson Knoll, who scored 15 points. Riley Hubbard was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Flint Southwestern Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Frankenmuth, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Flint Southwestern Academy beat Frankenmuth 46-38 when the teams last played back in February of 2020. The rematch might be a little tougher for Flint Southwestern Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
