Suttons Bay fell victim to Onekama and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They came up short against  the Portagers, falling  17-0.
Buckley came out on top against Brethren  on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Bears' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bobcats  a   7-0 shutout.
  Maddie Chilson was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.  Emileigh Meakin also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
 Buckley is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Suttons Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
 Suttons Bay suffered a grim  17-1 defeat to Buckley  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. Can the Norsemen avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
