They had to suffer through a rough 66-32 loss at the hands of Christian Collegiate Academy. Amite School Center has struggled against Christian Collegiate Academy recently, as their game on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Christian Collegiate Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dillon Woods, who scored 23 points along with two steals. Woods hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Gabe Collier was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Amite School Center dropped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Christian Collegiate Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-9.
Amite School Center will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wilkinson County Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Christian Collegiate Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ben's Ford Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Ben's Ford Christian is ranked 196th in Louisiana, while Christian Collegiate Academy is ranked 171st in Mississippi).
