In what's become a running theme this season, the Paw Paw Pirates gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Timber Ridge 62-25 on the road. The win was just what Paw Paw needed coming off of a 71-43 defeat in their prior matchup.
Paw Paw was led to victory by Greyson Corbett and Donavan Tanouye. Corbett almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, while Tanouye scored 18 points along with four steals. Tanouye has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ayden Crabtree, who scored five points along with seven assists and two steals.
Paw Paw's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Timber Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paw Paw's road trip will continue as they head out to face East Hardy at 6:00 p.m. on February 16th. As for Timber Ridge, they will square off against Mountain View Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
