20 must be Chattanooga Christian's lucky number: they beat Webb with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over the Spartans. Considering the Chargers have won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ella Claire Chaffin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Chattanooga Christian got a big performance out of Claire Clark, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Clark has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abby Fillman, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Chattanooga Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .718. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Chattanooga Christian, bringing their record up to 19-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Webb, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

As of now, neither Chattanooga Christian nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
