Janesville may have come out ahead in their last matchup, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. They will challenge Don Bosco on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Janesville simply couldn't be stopped last Friday, as they easily beat Riceville 38-0. Janesville were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Don Bosco were putting the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Rockford 80-6. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-6.
Their wins bumped Don Bosco to 3-0 and Janesville to 2-2. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
