If the Uplift Titans were riding high off their 35-5 takedown of the Aspira Business and Finance White Tigers last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Uplift fell to Wells 41-36. It was the first time this season that Uplift let down their fans at home.
Leading Wells to victory were Anny Dubon and Tamyra Davis. Dubon scored eight points along with five rebounds, while Davis scored 12 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Wells' points.
Uplift's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-6. As for Wells, their win bumped their record up to 2-4-1.
Uplift will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Intrinsic at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Wells will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Alcott at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
