Western Boone had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Clinton Central Bulldogs as they made off with a 9-2 win. For the Stars, this counts as revenge for the 19-7 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Quinn Westerfeld was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Easton Nance was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Western Boone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clinton Central only posted a batting average of .227.

Western Boone pushed their record up to 13-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Clinton Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Western Boone will have a chance to go back-to-back against Clinton Central: the pair will be back at it again later today.
