Barbour County has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Daleville Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Barbour County's 16-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 68-39 loss at the hands of Eufaula. While losing is never fun, Barbour County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while Eufaula is ranked 177th).
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Daleville, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-48 loss to Carroll on Tuesday. Daleville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Barbour County bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Daleville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Barbour County didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Daleville in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 72-66 victory.
