Nanih Waiya and Eupora are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Warriors will host the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Nanih Waiya comes in on four and Eupora on eight.
Last Thursday, Nanih Waiya made easy work of Columbus and carried off a 13-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Kade Massey made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nanih Waiya is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise. Massey was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caden McDaniel, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Nanih Waiya is undefeated when McDaniel posts two or more stolen bases, but 9-10 otherwise. Parker Prewitt was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Eupora beat Bruce 9-5 on Saturday.
Like Nanih Waiya, Eupora also got a great game from a two-way player: Jacob Crimm. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Crimm was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
Eupora pushed their record up to 16-9 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Nanih Waiya, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Nanih Waiya has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .484. However, it's not like Eupora struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Nanih Waiya suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Eupora in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Warriors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
