The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lee, who took down 452nd ranked Lee, 38-35.
Dawson extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region III District 24 this week by beating Goose Creek Memorial, 41-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Eagles.
Friendswood's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Wood has thrown for 397 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Michael Montalvo has six catches for 149 yards. Wood also leads the league in rushing with 1042 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Ganders take on Dawson. As it stands, Lee is in fourth, while Eric Wells' team is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Marvin Sedberry's team takes on the Eagles. The Ganders have allowed 142 points this season, while Dawson has given up 99.
Galena Park moved up to 566 from 800 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region III District 24. The Yellowjackets were able to make the jump by defeating Lee 38-35.
