The Spring Woods Tigers will challenge the Milby Buffs at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Spring Woods beats Milby with 18  runs on Thursday, it's going to be the  team's new lucky number: they've won their past two  matchups with that exact score. The Tigers never let Sterling get on the board and left with  an   18-0  win  on Tuesday. The  victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.
 Caylee Corona made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. What's more,  she posted five  strikeouts, the most she's  had since back in February. She was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Addison Bruton was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Sophia Cisneros, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Spring Woods  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in six consecutive  contests.
Meanwhile, Milby entered their tilt with Sterling on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp  16-0 win.
 Milby let  Jamie Rocha and  Daniella Juarez run wild. Rocha  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2, while  Juarez  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jasmine Carrizalez, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in both of her plate appearances.
 Spring Woods' victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Milby, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Thursday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Spring Woods hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Milby struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .390. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
