The Soquel Knights will head out on the road to square off against the San Lorenzo Valley Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. San Lorenzo Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Soquel, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Soquel was able to grind out a solid win over Harbor, taking the game 50-40.
Meanwhile, San Lorenzo Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a rough 52-31 loss at the hands of Santa Cruz. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat San Lorenzo Valley has suffered against Santa Cruz since February 10, 2020.
Soquel's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for San Lorenzo Valley, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
Soquel strolled past San Lorenzo Valley in their previous meeting on January 2nd by a score of 45-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Soquel since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
