Rockland's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Middleborough Sachems as they made off with a 13-3 win. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Braedan Nicholson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Nicholson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Cooper Larouco and Colin McKenna did most of the damage at the plate: Larouco scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while McKenna scored two runs while going 4-for-5. Larouco also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Colin Rau was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Rockland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Rockland picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Middleborough, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockland will take on Hull at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Middleborough, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Sandwich at 4:00 p.m. The Blue Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Sachems' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
