The Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 42 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Hopewell 63-10 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-3.
It was another big night for Sheree Gidney, who scored 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The matchup was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Makaila Ritter, who scored ten points along with seven steals.
Hickory Ridge's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Hopewell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Hickory Ridge and United Faith Christian Academy will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopewell will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Mecklenburg at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
