The Hilltop Cadets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Maumee Valley Country Day, falling 71-37. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hilltop in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now lost six in a row.
Maumee Valley Country Day was led to victory by Amani-Jordan Chandran-Dickerson and Christian Majors. Chandran-Dickerson scored 33 points along with two steals, while Majors dropped a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Majors has scored all season. Drew Knorek was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Hilltop's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Maumee Valley Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
Hilltop will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maumee Valley Country Day, they will play host again and welcome the Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Toledo Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
