The game between Clarke Central and Arabia Mountain wasn't particularly close, with Clarke Central falling 80-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (57), Clarke Central still had to take the loss.
Arabia Mountain was led to victory by Julian Shanks and Joseph Smith. Shanks scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Smith scored 21 points along with two steals. Shanks has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Jaden Ward was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Clarke Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Arabia Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Clarke Central will head out on the road to challenge Flowery Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
