Limon has gone 7-2 against Yuma recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Badgers will square off against the Indians at 2:00 p.m. Limon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Limon is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Las Animas just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Badgers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Limon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camdyn Tacha, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Yuma entered their tilt with Byers on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Bulldogs.
Jesus Rodriguez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Alex Pensado was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Lennox Huwa was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Limon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Yuma, their record now sits at an identical 11-4.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Limon has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Yuma struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Limon might still be hurting after the 11-3 loss they got from Yuma in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Badgers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
