Vista Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zayden Stevens out in front who rushed for 64 yards, and also threw for 166 yards on 14 of 22 attempts. That's the most rushing yards Stevens has posted since back in October of 2023. Gabriel Mcfarland handled things on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.
Vista Ridge's defense stepped up as well, laying out Cade Ballard. four times. The heavy lifting was done by Wesley Coddington and Lennon Louis, who racked up all four sacks between them. Vista Ridge got some further help from Jacob (Jb) Bourland: he made nine total tackles and snagged two interceptions.
Durango's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. As for Vista Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
