Folsom (Calif.) upset Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) 49-17 on the strength of
Jake Browning, who tossed five touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Browning in the second quarter, the Bulldogs were up 28-17 at the half.
Folsom expanded its lead to 25 points entering the fourth quarter. FHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Browning to
Troy Knox.
The Trojans came in allowing just 15.9 points per game this season. Oak Ridge had a hard time against Folsom's offense, who entered the game scoring 53.2 points per game. Folsom came in allowing an average of 20.0 points per game this season. A defensively strong FHS kept OR well below the 29.6 points it had been averaging per game.
The loss comes after Oak Ridge defeated Pleasant Grove 26-20 last week.
