In what's become a running theme this season, Cedarcrest gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They claimed a resounding 56-15 victory over Marysville Getchell on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Cedarcrest has posted yet this season.
Cedarcrest found their leader in underclassman Kiki Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Laine Mckenzie, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Sedro-Woolley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 42-23 fall against Squalicum. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sedro-Woolley has scored all season.
Cedarcrest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Sedro-Woolley, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-4.
Cedarcrest took their victory against Sedro-Woolley in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 51-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedarcrest since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
