Basketball Recap: Parkersburg Christian Takes a Loss

Parkersburg Christian managed to keep up with Mount Hope Christian Academy until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Parkersburg Christian came up short against the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors, falling 85-63. Parkersburg Christian hasn't had much luck with Mount Hope Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Parkersburg Christian lost, don't look at Wyatt Meadows. Despite the final result, he went 10 for 22 en route to 24 points and seven boards. Meadows' afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Alexander Fluharty was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Parkersburg Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Parkersburg Christian will take on Hannan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Parkersburg Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, they will square off against Greater Beckley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mount Hope Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
