The Los Angeles Romans will be playing at home against the Santee Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Los Angeles unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 75-41 loss at the hands of Manual Arts. While losing is never fun, Los Angeles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 781st, while Manual Arts is ranked 272nd).
Meanwhile, Santee's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Manual Arts 102-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Santee has suffered yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Santee had strong showings from Darnell Miller, who scored 11 points, and Israel Snowden, who scored ten points. Snowden continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Los Angeles' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Santee, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
Everything came up roses for Los Angeles against Santee in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 68-30 win. Does Los Angeles have another victory up their sleeve, or will Santee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
