Union took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Spring Creek Gators 38-0. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 54-34 win the Gators walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Tobias Cromartie was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 138 yards on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Another reason for the win was Union's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Marquavion Melvin with three.

Union will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bear Grass Charter at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Spring Creek, they will host Southern Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
