A Season-Best Effort from Logan Dent Leads Salem over Charlestown
Logan Dent produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Salem to the win on Friday. Dent rushed for 231 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making a tackle.
If history really does repeat itself, Dent might just drop another big game when he faces off against West Washington on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Dent saw the Senators), he rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.

On Friday, Salem got the W thanks in part to Adam Mull playing the best football he has all season. Mull rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.
This season, Mull has averaged 67.8 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 25 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 57.5 rushing yards.

Payton King posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He forced a fumble and made five total tackles. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making five total tackles.

Gregory Hutcheson's big game helped extend Brownstown Central's winning streak to eight on Friday. Nobody could stop Hutcheson as he rushed for 193 yards on only nine carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
Brownstown Central pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Hutcheson and Brownstown Central will take on Scottsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ryan Shields posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 71 yards.
Charlestown is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. Shields will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Eastern on Friday.
