Monterey will head out on the road to challenge Salinas at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Monterey is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Monterey faced off against Palma for the first time this season, and Monterey walked away the winners. They came out on top against Palma by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win was just what Monterey needed coming off of a 5-2 loss in their prior contest.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Ethan Bonilla and
Walter Bonilla, who scored.
Meanwhile, Salinas and Rancho San Juan played to a 2-2 draw, good for one point each.
Monterey's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1. Salinas also didn't change their record much, as their draw makes their record 4-4-1.
Monterey took their victory against Salinas in their previous matchup on January 2nd by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monterey since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
