Make it 13 blowout wins for the Poteet Pirates this season. They breezed by Adams at home to the tune of 74-32. The victory was nothing new for Poteet as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Adams lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Avery Scott, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. Elizabeth Marquez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Poteet is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season. As for Adams, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Poteet will head out on the road to square off against Spruce at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Spruce will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1251st, while Poteet is ranked 439th). As for Adams, they will be playing at home against Seagoville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
