SA Roosevelt was just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 61-60 to Lee. The matchup was a 25-25 toss-up at halftime, but SA Roosevelt was outscored by Lee in the second.
SA Roosevelt lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaac Castillo, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Jordan Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
SA Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.
SA Roosevelt will take on Madison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Lee, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Brandeis at 11:30 a.m. Brandeis is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
