Bethesda Christian has gone a perfect 3-0 against Purdue Broad Ripple recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Patriots will look to defend their home field against the Lynx at 5:30 p.m. Bethesda Christian has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bethesda Christian's offense. They lost 18-0 to Indianapolis Kings on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

While Purdue Broad Ripple didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Mooresville Christian 15-8 on Tuesday. The Lynx might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Kyler Jones made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 17 over 6.2 innings pitched. Jones was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Patrick Terry Jr., who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Marcus Yates was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Purdue Broad Ripple's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bethesda Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Bethesda Christian took their win against Purdue Broad Ripple in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Lynx have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
