South Western kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Susquehanna Township HANNA.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wyatt Carbaugh, who rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Carbaugh got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 88 yards.
Torin Evans had an outrageously good game for Susquehanna Township as he threw for 268 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards and two scores.
Coming up, South Western will square off against Dover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Susquehanna Township, they will face off against Greencastle-Antrim at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the HANNA their first taste of in-conference action this season.
