Last Tuesday, Shaw had to suffer through a rough 60-25 loss at the hands of Central. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Shaw in their matchups with Central: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Shaw had strong showings from Mariah Pacheco, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds, and Jade Ervin, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Jordan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Columbus on the road and fell 46-16. Jordan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-8.
Shaw has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Jordan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
