If Johnson Creek were riding high off their 40-7 takedown of Randolph two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Johnson Creek had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it last Thursday as the team lost 41-42 to Lourdes. Johnson Creek's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Wayland Academy, and their matchup last Saturday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were completely outmatched, falling 8-53 to Randolph. The state rankings had actually given Wayland Academy a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Everything came up roses for Johnson Creek against Wayland Academy the last time the two teams met as the squad secured a 46-8 win. Will Johnson Creek repeat their success, or does Wayland Academy have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
