Jacksonville Christian Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Jones 52-19. Given the Conquerors 's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Trojans are ranked 596th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Nylah Moore, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 27 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Her evening made it 23 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Paradysz, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Gramercy Christian waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They secured a 40-34 W over the Mariners.
Jacksonville Christian Academy better focus on containing Cate Wellspeak and Kinley Butler as the pair were huge in Gramercy Christian's win. Wellspeak had 12 points, while Butler put up 14 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mariah Diaz, who posted three points in addition to 11 rebounds and four blocks.
Gramercy Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.
Jacksonville Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Gramercy Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: Jacksonville Christian Academy has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 50% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Gramercy Christian, though, as they've only made 26.3% of their three-pointers this season. Given Jacksonville Christian Academy's sizable advantage in that area, Gramercy Christian will need to find a way to close that gap.
Jacksonville Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off Gramercy Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 and fell 43-40. Can Jacksonville Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
