The Albertus Magnus Falcons are ranked highly in their home state, and on Sunday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Red Bank Catholic Caseys. Albertus Magnus was dealt a 72-39 loss at the hands of Red Bank Catholic. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Albertus Magnus has scored all season.
Red Bank Catholic was led to victory by Addy Nyemchek and Tessa Carman. Nyemchek dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Carman almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Katie Liggio, who scored 14 points.
Albertus Magnus' loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-2. As for Red Bank Catholic, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Albertus Magnus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Red Bank Catholic, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Life Center Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 22nd.
