Ridgecroft has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  face off against the Lawrence Academy Warriors at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Ridgecroft posted their biggest  win since November 11, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Northeast Academy, posting a  49-14 win at home. The team accrued 47  points in the first half and coasted on those for the  victory.
  Nacir Lewis was the offensive standout of the  game as he  scored 20 points along with two  steals. That's the first time this season that  he  scored 15 or more  points.  Antron Gray was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
 Meanwhile, Lawrence Academy stacked  a  seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Albemarle School 77-21 at home. The  game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  48-7.
 Lawrence Academy got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Mari Larry out in front who  scored eight points along with five  assists and four  steals. Another player making a difference was  Ben Woodard, who  scored six points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals.
 Ridgecroft is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Lawrence Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
Keep an eye on the arc in  Friday's  matchup:  Ridgecroft  have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season,  having  only  averaged 5.3  threes per game. It's a different story for Lawrence Academy, though, as  they've been averaging  only 6.5  threes per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Ridgecroft was able to grind out a solid  win over Lawrence Academy in their previous matchup  two weeks ago, winning  70-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridgecroft since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
