Centennial is 0-5 against Owyhee since March of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Storm at 5:00 p.m. Centennial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Centennial was able to grind out a solid victory over Ridgevue, taking the game 13-8.
Jailey Polski ?25 was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Josie Moorhouse was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-5.
Polski ?25 wasn't the only one making solid contact: Centennial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Owyhee put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Eagle as they made off with an 8-1 win. The Storm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.
Hailey Brennan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, McKenna Schab and Caitlyn Geiser did most of the damage at the plate: Schab went 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs, while Geiser went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most runs Schab has posted since back in March of 2024.
Owyhee pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Centennial hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. However, it's not like Owyhee struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
