Riverton has won seven straight games at home, while Mountain Ridge has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Silverwolves will welcome the Sentinels at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Riverton 4.1, Mountain Ridge 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Riverton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: American Fork, who was ranked sixth at the time (Riverton was ranked seventh). The Silverwolves won by a run and slipped past the Cavemen 7-6. That's two games straight that the Silverwolves have won by just one run.
Nolan Pezely tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cohen Allred, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gage Zullo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Riverton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Skyridge on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 6-5. That makes it the first time this season the Sentinels have let down their home crowd.
Mountain Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Buck, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Cooper Goff was another, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Riverton's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Mountain Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
