It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the McCamey Badgers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Roscoe on Thursday, falling 60-26. McCamey was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.
Several Badgers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grant Glidewell, who threw for 334 yards and four touchdowns. Noe Hernandez also helped out as he racked up 101 receiving yards.
Roscoe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ivan McCann led the charge by rushing for 140 yards and three touchdowns. Aiden Cerna was in the mix too, providing Roscoe with two touchdowns.
McCamey now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Roscoe, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
McCamey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Roscoe will square off against Windthorst at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Windthorst is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
