The Claymont Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 47-5 loss at the hands of Tuscarawas Valley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Claymont has scored all season.
Tuscarawas Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sally Ray out in front who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Chloe Salapack was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five steals.
Claymont's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
Claymont will head out on the road to face off against the Cardinals at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sandy Valley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Braves at 2:30 p.m. Indian Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 471st, while the Trojans are ranked 107th).
