After flying high against the Riverdale Raiders last Thursday, The Lehigh Lightning came back down to earth. Lehigh fell just short of Dunbar by a score of 18-15. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lehigh in their matchups with Dunbar: they've now lost four in a row.
Although Lehigh took the loss, they still got scores from Terrance Smith jr. and Jamal Rogers.
Dunbar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Austin Price led the charge by throwing for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Twaski Abrams, who picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Lehigh's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Dunbar, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Lehigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dunbar will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fort Myers' favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last eight games.
