The Lafayette Generals will challenge the Montgomery County Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lafayette comes in on ten and Montgomery County on three.
Lafayette's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Bryan Station by a score of 5-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Rylan Music

| 03/26/25 @ Ballard | 1 |
| 03/22/25 vs East Jessamine | 0 |
The result came thanks to Rylan Music's shutout, as she gave up just seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anna Clay Denton, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aarilyn Waletich-Silverio, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Montgomery County made easy work of Bourbon County on Wednesday and carried off an 8-1 win. Considering the Indians have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Bourbon County's batters probably weren't too happy with Ryleigh Martin, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 13 Ks (she gave up four walks).
On the hitting side, Lilliana Hill was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Madison Cox was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Lafayette's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Montgomery County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Lafayette hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.3 home runs per game. However, it's not like Montgomery County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Lafayette couldn't quite get it done against Montgomery County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 12-8. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
