St. James Academy is 8-2 against the Jaguars since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The St. James Academy Thunder will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Valley West Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully St. James Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Jaguars in Kansas (the Thunder are ranked 18th, while the Jaguars are ranked 115th).
Last Wednesday, it was a hard-fought match, but St. James Academy had to settle for a 43-41 loss against the Stars.
St. James Academy might have lost, but man, Reese Messer was a machine: she dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Messer hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Elle Robinson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Blue Valley West scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 52-22 win over Wyandotte. The victory was familiar territory for Blue Valley West who now have three in a row.
St. James Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Blue Valley West, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
St. James Academy strolled past the Jaguars when the teams last played back in January by a score of 45-27. Will St. James Academy repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
