After two games on the road, Riverbend is heading back home. They will take on the Charlottesville Black Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Riverbend focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Riverbend was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to Eastern View. Riverbend has struggled against Eastern View recently, as their match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Chris Eggleston, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Donohue, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Charlottesville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Waynesboro 73-35 on the road.
The losses dropped Riverbend to 0-2 and Eastern View to 1-1.
